High-Frequency Facials

High frequency is a modality that can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Acne

  • Enlarged pores

  • Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Decongest puffy eyes

  • Fade dark eye circles

  • Rejuvenate condition of the scalp and nourish hair follicles to promote healthy hair growth

High frequency works in several ways, including but not limited to:

  • Stimulating cell renewal

  • Oxygenating the skin and thereby enhancing blood circulation

  • Increasing collagen and elastin production

  • Eliminating acne-causing bacteria

  • Lymphatic drainage

  • Skin toning through thermal current and high oscillation rate

  • Assisting with product penetration and absorption by warming the skin tissue

There are two different types of electrodes containing different gases: Argon and Neon
Argon gas creates a low violet light and is used mainly for treating acne patients. When the
argon electrode touches the skin, a small amount of UV light is emitted – due to the low level of
UV, it is considered safe and non-damaging. The reaction creates anti-bacterial and healing
benefits which are why it is best for acne-prone skin.

Neon gas creates a low orange light and is mainly used for aging patients. The neon electrode
creates warmth to the skin which promotes blood circulation, the increased cellular turnover rate
and assist with the penetration of products.
